From 19 to 21 November 2018 in Moscow was held the 6th International Forum “Anti-Counterfeiting 2018”.
The deputy chairman of the BelBrand Association Valentina Dynich along with the executive director Nina Kalita and the projects coordinator of the Association Alexander Yuraga participated in the plenary session on a subject “Establishment of favorable conditions that contribute to the advancement of legal business. A civilized market is our reality” as well as in operation of the main sections of the forum.
The Anti-Counterfeiting Forum is the main discussion platform held in the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union on the regular basis. This platform provides an opportunity to the representatives of member countries, heads of major international companies, leading international experts to discuss the matters of protection of the civilized market from the illicit turnover of industrial production, including counterfeiting and adulterated production, as well as ensuring of rights to intellectual property.
As organizers of the forum that united the representatives of authorities, business circles, and non-government organizations of the EEU acted: the Government of the Russian Federation, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Anti-Counterfeiting International Association.
The Belarusian party in the course of the forum was represented by delegations from the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the State Customs Committee, the National Centre of Legislation and Legal Research of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the National Centre of Intellectual Property.
Within the framework of the forum were examined problems of advancement of systems of marking and traceability of goods across the territory of member countries of the EEU, international practical experience in support of legality of a turnover of medical output, expansion of state control in fields of production and turnover of construction materials as an essential condition of safety in construction activities, harmonization of tax legislation as an instrument in struggle against the illicit turnover of excisable goods across the territory of member countries of the EEU, coordination of operation of customs and law-enforcement authorities of the member countries of the EEU focused on protection of rights to the intellectual property assets, technical regulation, improvement of conditions favorable for the human resource development in the field of counteraction against the illicit turnover of industrial output, the future of online-trading, food safety.
The speech of the representatives of the BelBrand Association entitled as “Educational and public awareness activities within a context of struggle against proliferation of counterfeiting output: Belarusian experience” was given within the scope of operation of the session “Improvement of conditions favorable for the human resource development in the field of counteraction against the illicit turnover of industrial output”.
