On September 26, 2014, in Minsk, the conference hall of the CIS headquarters hosted the Third International Conference: "Brand Protection in the Customs Union, CIS and Global World". The event, important for the community of the "BelBrand", "RusBrand" and "KazBrand", was held in the sitting hall of the CIS Executive Committee, which certainly strengthened the integration aspect of the problem, and the mutual interest of the parties on the way of formation of a free trade area in the conditions of the Eurasian Economic Environment.
In the opinion of the participants of the Conference, today it is not enough only to create a unified legal framework, directed at the intellectual property protection. We need also a common understanding and application of the existing norms, which ensure the scope of such protection. This is a consolidated opinion of the parties, initiated by the organizers of the Forum, was the subject of a serious discussion by representatives of governmental and non-governmental structures, the business community, and experts on a wide range of issues faced by domestic and foreign manufacturers in terms of unscrupulous competition, the policy of responsible market use of the market of goods and services, without counterfeits and forgery, mutual claims and limitations.
