On October 6, the Chairman of the Association for Intellectual Property Protection "BelBrand" Albert Taipov took part in the international seminar on protection of intellectual property rights held for customs officers and representatives of the business community of the Eurasian Economic Union member states in Kazan (Russian Federation). In the course of the international seminar has been held an exchange of experiences and results of activities carried out by customs services of the Eurasian Economic Union member states on protection of intellectual property rights.
The main issues for discussion in the round table form were: application of software tools and information systems by the customs officials in order to ensure protection of intellectual property rights; topical issues on provision of protection of intellectual property rights by customs services of the Eurasian Economic Union member states; the course of execution of orders issued by the Joint Board of customs services of the member states of the Customs Union on protection of trademarks owned by the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).
The seminar was attended by the members of the working group under the Joint Board of customs services of the Customs Union member states on issues of protection of intellectual property rights, officers of the department of trade restrictions, officers of the department of currency and export control of the FCS of Russia, and representatives of the business community.
